It's a Hard Knock Life

The big news today is that unemployment rates have fallen to their lowest rate in the past two and a half years.  The latest report from the Labor Department announced that unemployment rate has sunk from 9% in October down to 8.6% in November.
This all comes from the private sector hiring one hundred and forty new jobs for the month of November.  However, this is offset by twenty thousand in layoffs by the government.  Also three hundred thousand Americans stopped looking for jobs.  Over thirteen million Americans are still unemployed after the recession.
